Begging the Question--It's not what you think.

This may seem a bit nit-picky, but it drives me crazy that professional journalists and pundits are unaware of the meaning of "begging the question".  The phrase actually refers to a logical fallacy wherein the conclusion is restated as a premise.  Here it is being used--incorrectly--to mean "calls for" or "leads to".  Is it too much to ask the media to learn some logic?
